He tried out for the NFL and although he did not end up making a roster, he developed a passion for the deeper understanding of exercise techniques and body mechanics through his collegiate athletic experiences. As a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Joe enjoys teaching the importance of correct technique in all lifts and proper body mechanics during athletic movements.

Prior to arriving as the general manager at CoreTen, Joe owned and operated an athletic performance facility for 4 years, specializing in the development of youth, collegiate and professional athletes.

Blaise believes that bettering your physical fitness is not hard. Getting started IS but after that, it gets easier every day. A workout doesn’t have to be an hour in the gym; a workout can be walking your dog, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, a new hobby that requires movement or an everyday activity like playing with your kids. Repetition is the key to forming healthy habits. Small changes on a consistent basis produce huge results in the long run and the more consistent you can be, the easier it gets.

For Blaise, exercise is a way to get away from all of the distractions of daily life. “Days are easier when I work out in the morning or know that I have set aside time to work out in the afternoon. It gives me something to look forward to.” Whether it’s a run with his dog, a few rounds on the heavy bag or hitting the weights; the feeling of accomplishment after a workout always trumps staying in bed or sitting on the couch. Blaise carries this positive attitude into each group exercise class to help participants get started and stay committed.
